Market Update - City Of Grande Prairie 📈

December saw 58 new listings come into the market, a decrease of 43.13% from November which had 102 new listings.

The number of solds decreased, coming in at 57, down 18.57% from November which saw 70 sold. The average days on market decreased also to 56 in December, compared to 65 in November. Average sale price increased slightly in December, we see a 1% increase from November.

Compared to December 2021, number of solds are down by 25%, however average sale price increased slightly by 2%. That increase might have been caused by a tightening in supply given that low number of new listings in December. 

Personally, I’ve noticed that buyer activity has picked up since the new year. I don’t expect that the market will be as wild as the spring of 2022, but it will be the busiest time of year as usual. If you have been thinking about buying, now might be the perfect time as you can take advantage of the winter market, where we see less buyer competition & motivated sellers.
